Protected Leave: Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder?
With the expansion of workplace leave laws, it often seems like everyone has an excuse to be absent from work. During this session, we will look at the interplay of federal and state leave and disability laws, including the ADA, FMLA, and Virginia Human Rights Act, and the requirements of the new Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act and PUMP Act. And, we will focus on how HR professionals can navigate through this complicated arena and on practical ways to help ensure compliance with the laws.
